Omokoroa is a coastal community in the Western Bay of Plenty, set on a long peninsula in the harbour. Western Bay of Plenty District Council describes it as having grown from a quiet holiday spot into a mix of residential living, small landholdings, some retail and industrial use. The council also notes the Omokoroa cycle trail link as part of the New Zealand Cycle Trail network, offering an alternative to the busy State Highway 2 corridor.
